About Greenplaces
What we believe
Our customers are being asked to prove they're enterprise-ready. To win and keep larger customers, they need credible answers across a growing set of sustainability, trust, governance, and compliance requirements. Most middle-market companies aren't staffed to manage that work well, and they aren't paid more for doing it. Greenplaces is the modern alternative to building that capability yourself: better than hiring internally, easier than managing consultants, and more credible than self-serve software. We pair dedicated experts with AI-powered software to deliver the work enterprise buyers demand, without the cost and drag of traditional consulting. Every deliverable has a named expert owner you can put in front of a buyer, an investor, or a regulator and trust completely.

Working with Greenplaces
We practice what we preach. Greenplaces is a certified B Corporation, so social and environmental standards are built into how we operate every day. We measure our own emissions, offset our footprint, and report through EcoVadis and other standards, the same work we do for our customers.
Our team runs on five values (PLANT): Purpose-driven results, Lead with clarity, Act like an owner, Navigate change, and Think sustainably.
We back our people with unlimited PTO, a 12-week parental leave policy, flexible schedules, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), and mental health support through Talkspace. Come work with us.
Our story
Greenplaces started with a problem our founder lived. Alex Lassiter ran a business selling into mid-market and enterprise customers. When GDPR took effect in 2016, every RFP suddenly came with a stack of compliance questions. As a mid-sized company, he couldn't justify hiring a head of information security, so he brought in consultants to close the gap.
Over the next few years the questionnaires only grew. GDPR became SOC 2, then CCPA, then more. Each new requirement meant another consultant, another unpredictable hourly rate, and the same repetitive work running in parallel. As his largest customers grew more risk-averse, supplier risk assessments expanded fast. By 2020 those assessments also covered sustainability, ESG, health and safety, and an ever-growing list of data security and privacy questions. Managing it across multiple consultants became untenable.
Alex saw a better model: one technology-driven partner with the expertise to handle a company's full compliance picture, delivered at a flat, predictable rate on a single platform. Drop your data in once, and get audit-ready proof for everything your customers, investors, and regulators ask of you.
Greenplaces launched in 2021 to close the compliance gap mid-market companies face, so they can unlock sales, reduce risk, and stay ahead of customer-driven reporting. We started with "Sustainability Compliance in a Box" and have since grown to support 40+ compliance requirements across sustainability, ESG, information security, and AI governance. The goal is one platform and many compliances, all backed by expert-verified work, so businesses can answer any request their customers put in front of them.
