It means that the company or companies from which you opted out will no longer deliver ads tailored to your web preferences and usage patterns.
- You may be able to restrict the collection of personal information or functionality through your device’s operating system or by disabling cookies but doing so may prevent you from using the functionality of the Website. Some Internet browsers have a “do-not-track” feature that let you tell websites that you do not want to have your online activities tracked. At this time the Website does not respond to browser “do not track” signals. To the extent we allow third parties to collect personal information through the Website for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising, we provide applicable opt-out rights as described in the “Do not sell or share my personal information” section.
Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. The security of your personal information also depends on you. You should make sure your devices and software are up-to-date to ensure the latest security measures are installed.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have rights with respect to your personal information under applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, and similar laws. These rights may include the right to: (i) know or access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you; (ii) correct inaccurate personal information; (iii) request deletion of personal information; (iv) request data portability; (v) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or of targeted advertising; and (vi) limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may engage in activities that could be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under certain privacy laws, as described in this Policy, and you may opt out of those activities. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted under applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Greenplaces can be contacted regarding EEA, UK, and Swiss privacy matters at [email protected]. Where required by applicable law, Greenplaces will identify its EU or UK representative in this Policy or through a supplemental notice.
Artificial intelligence and automated processing
We may use third-party artificial intelligence and machine learning services in connection with operating the Website and our public-facing communications, including for chatbot and customer-support functions, content personalization, aggregated Website analytics, and recruiting workflows. For Website and public-facing communications, we use AI providers under contractual confidentiality and data-use restrictions designed to prevent use of personal information to train third-party models. We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services you request, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically, we retain: (i) customer account and billing information for the duration of the customer relationship and for up to seven (7) years thereafter for tax and accounting purposes; (ii) website analytics data for up to twenty-six (26) months and security, diagnostic, and server logs for the period reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance; (iii) marketing contact information until you unsubscribe or request deletion; and (iv) recruitment records for up to two (2) years after a hiring decision. We may retain certain records longer where required by law or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
California residents’ privacy rights
This section supplements the “Your privacy rights” section for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the categories of personal information listed below. For each category, we describe the sources, business or commercial purposes, categories of recipients, sale/sharing status, and retention criteria in the sections above and in the table below. (a) identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, IP address, and account identifiers; (b) commercial information such as billing and transaction records; (c) Internet or other network activity information such as browsing and Website usage; (d) approximate geolocation data; (e) professional or employment-related information provided in connection with job applications or services; and (f) inferences drawn from the foregoing. We obtain this information directly from you, from your devices, from our service providers, and from public sources. We use this information for the business purposes described in the “How we use personal information” section above. We do not collect or use categories of sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted under California Civil Code Section 1798.121. California residents have the right to: (i) know or access the specific pieces and categories of personal information we have collected; (ii) correct inaccurate personal information; (iii) request deletion of personal information; (iv) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; (v) limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and (vi) designate an authorized agent to submit a request on their behalf, subject to verification of identity and the agent’s authority. We do not discriminate against California residents for exercising any of these rights. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
Do not sell or share my personal information
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To the extent that any disclosure of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA/CPRA or similar state laws, you have the right to opt out. To exercise this right, email [email protected], or configure your browser to send Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, which we honor as a valid opt-out request for the browser or device making the request.
Children’s privacy
The Website is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 16 years of age (or under 13 years of age for purposes of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact [email protected].
Cookies and similar tracking technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies on the Website. The categories of cookies we use include: (i) strictly necessary cookies required for the Website to function; (ii) performance and analytics cookies that help us understand Website usage (including Google Analytics); and (iii) functional cookies that remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies that track you across third-party websites without your consent. You may manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or accept cookies, to delete existing cookies, and to configure notifications when cookies are being sent. Disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain Website features. At this time, the Website does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as described in the “Do not sell or share my personal information” section above.
