CDP or Climate Disclosure Project is an entity that runs a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. Many businesses require vendors, and suppliers to report to CDP and data ratings are based on assessing ESG or Environmental, Social and Governance related climate risks. 

The Science Based Targets initiative (or SBTi) is a collaboration between the CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute and the World Wide Fund for Nature.  SBTi requires companies to establish a path to reduce emissions in line with limiting global warming to 1.5°C. They define how much and how quickly a business must reduce its emissions to be in line with the Paris Agreement goals.
