What Cisco requires
Cisco requires suppliers to commit to environmental stewardship, including reporting on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, water use, and waste management. Suppliers must set public GHG reduction targets, report annually to CDP, and work towards zero waste at manufacturing sites. High-water-use suppliers should develop a water stewardship plan. Cisco also mandates compliance with environmental laws, particularly for suppliers in mainland China, where pollution violations must be managed and reported. Suppliers are expected to publish sustainability reports using GRI standards, covering supply chain environmental data.
