This enables us to expose more detailed data in our upcoming detailed Purchased Goods and Services reporting.
February 2025 product release highlights
Goal: Enable better understanding of progress of Data Collection
✓ A key element of Data Collection is sourcing data for each location that will feed into the broader footprint for the organization. Our update allows users to track completion of Data Collection tasks on a per-Location basis. This makes it much easier to work with local location managers to ensure timely collection of data.
✓ Task Completion and new Admin Quality Assurance statuses now drive helpful cards at the top of the Dashboard indicating progress of current Data Collections. This makes it easier for users to determine logical next steps in the process.
Goal: Improve user experience
✓ Colors were updated throughout the application to reflect new brand colors, changing the primary UI color from orange to green. This change complements our recent navigation changes.
Goal: Improved data protections after completion of Data Collection
✓ In a step toward a controlled, in-platform source of truth for annual footprints, Data Collections in “Complete” or “Work Paused” QA statuses now transition to a view-only state in which a user must provide reasoning to resume work or make changes to the data.
Goal: Continued maintenance and improvements
✓ As always, we continue to improve and expand our footprint methodology tools and user interface for our Carbon Accountants increasing our flexibility, reliability, and reducing time to footprint completion. This includes updates to our unit conversions tools, allowing more complex conversions between non-standard units – increasing our ability to leverage more industry databases and tackle more complex footprints.
✓ Our vendor ingestion tool now calculates emissions from business loans, corporate bonds, and equity investments using PCAF’s DQ2, DQ4, and DQ5 methodologies. These calculations leverage supplier-specific emissions and industry financial data. This enhancement democratizes access to investment emissions calculations and increases our capacity to handle more of these type of footprint calculations.
