Alex Lassiter is the Founder and CEO of Greenplaces, the AI-native compliance firm for the mid-market.

As a software founder, Alex saw compliance swallow his team: SOC 2, ESG, GDPR and endless supplier surveys. Consultants were slow and expensive, and software just handed the work back. So he built something different. Greenplaces is expert-led and AI-powered. It delivers finished sustainability, IT security and AI governance work, not another dashboard.

Before Greenplaces, Alex co-founded Gather, a SaaS platform for the hospitality industry that was acquired for $500M by Vista Equity and General Atlantic. He began his career at Bain & Company. Alex is an active venture investor, lecturer and advisor to software companies, and a Morehead-Cain Scholar who graduated with honors from UNC Chapel Hill.
