Long bio

For keynotes, press kits, and detailed introductions.

Corinne Hanson is VP of Sustainability at Greenplaces, where she leads a team of carbon accountants, decarbonization experts, and ESG reporting specialists helping companies across every sector cut emissions, report with confidence, and stay ahead of fast-evolving compliance requirements. She sets emissions reduction and reporting strategy and directs the platform and advisory work behind it: lifting client scores on rated assessments like CDP, EcoVadis, and GRESB, and delivering audit-ready disclosures under standards such as GRI, ISSB, and SBTi.

Corinne brings 15 years of experience across corporate climate strategy, public policy, and coalition building. At SustainAbility (now part of ERM), she led the North American food sector practice and served as primary architect and advisor on more than 20 sustainability programs for Fortune 500 companies, including Nike, Meta, Starbucks, AMD, Nestlé, and McDonald’s. That work spanned materiality assessments, sustainability and decarbonization strategy, stakeholder engagement, and ESG reporting, turning ambitious corporate goals into programs teams could run and sustain. She went on to build the sustainability and impact program at SH Hotels & Resorts as Head of Sustainability and Impact, leading strategy, analytics, employee engagement, communications, and reporting for one of hospitality’s most mission-driven brands. Earlier, at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Washington, D.C., she co-managed the Global Water Project and drove legislative campaigns to protect the nation’s water, air, and lands.

A frequent voice on corporate climate strategy, Corinne has taken the stage at SF Climate Week, Climate Week NYC (The Nest Climate Campus), PNW Climate Week, Reuters Events’ Responsible Business USA, and the Adweek Sustainability Summit, among others. An East Coast native now based in the Bay Area, she holds a B.A. in Philosophy and International Relations from The George Washington University.
